Good attendance means that children can make good, consistent progress in their school work.
We want all of our children to have good attendance so that they have the best possible chance of success, therefore we work to ensure we take action early with any child and family where we feel concerned.
We rely on our partnership with parents to ensure that this is achieved.
We would ask parents to help the school by notifying us of all absences on the first day, with a reason for the absence and should call daily thereafter until child returns to school. Unless there is a long term illness that the school are aware of.
Any absence which is known in advance should be requested via letter and only taken once authorisation from the Head or in their absence the Deputy is given.
